Day-by-day itinerary

Day 1 — Arrive Kochi
Airport pickup, Fort Kochi walk past the Chinese fishing nets and St. Francis Church, evening Kathakali performance with the pre-show make-up ritual.

Day 2 — Climb to Munnar
Scenic drive into the Western Ghats with waterfall stops, first walk through the tea contours at golden hour.

Day 3 — Munnar tea country
Eravikulam National Park (home of the Nilgiri tahr), tea museum tasting, and a plantation-view dinner.

Day 4 — Thekkady & Periyar
Drive through cardamom country, afternoon boat safari on Periyar Lake, spice garden tour before dusk.

Day 5 — Houseboat on the backwaters
Board a private houseboat at Alleppey by noon — cruise the canals, freshly cooked Kerala meals onboard, sunset on deck, overnight at anchor.

Day 6 — Disembark & depart
Backwater sunrise, disembark after breakfast, transfer to Kochi for departure.

About Kerala
October to March — 18–30°C with post-monsoon greenery and reliable weather for backwater cruising; monsoon (June–September) is the traditional season for Ayurvedic treatment, when therapies are considered most effective.
Alleppey Backwaters
A maze of canals, lagoons and paddy-field villages around Vembanad Lake, cruised overnight aboard kettuvallams — traditional rice barges converted into houseboats with bedrooms, a deck and an onboard cook.
Munnar
A tea town sitting at roughly 1,450–1,600 m in the Western Ghats, wrapped in plantation contours; neighbouring Eravikulam National Park protects the endangered Nilgiri tahr, under Anamudi — at 2,695 m the highest peak in peninsular India.
Periyar Tiger Reserve, Thekkady
One of India's few reserves where the safari happens by boat — cruises on Periyar Lake pass elephants and gaur at the waterline, with cardamom and pepper plantations at the park's edge.
